I really like home items that can multi-task and give added value; that’s why sofa beds are a great idea and investment – especially these days when homes seem to be getting smaller!

At HomePlaneur, an Italian company offering a collection of bespoke modern furniture, delivered throughout Europe, they want to help you create a modern, stylish home.  One that is tailored perfectly to you, your lifestyle and your personality.  With their fresh approach to unique personal interiors, HomePlaneur is just as passionate as you are about getting your home interiors right – and they are confident that their sofa beds can help with that.

We know that when buying a sofa bed, the style and aesthetic is just as important as with a regular sofa – except it also needs to possess the qualities and features that make it a comfortable place to sleep.

So below we take a look at four of our favourite designs from the collection at HomePlaneur and the ways we think these sofa beds can help solve your problems:

The Regular Usage Solution:  Hector

Regular use sofa bed

Many sofa beds are only designed for occasional use.  This sofa bed, however, is the perfect choice if you plan to use it virtually on a daily basis.  With the same high level of comfort as a traditional bed, thanks to its 18cm mattress and slatted base, there is no compromise over quality or comfort.   If you don’t have a guest bedroom, but have guests staying over regularly, Hector is a great option and a stylish, contemporary piece of furniture for the home.

The Small Living Room Solution:  Belfort

Custom sofa bedWhen you lack space at home, the Belfort is a great option.  A linear 2/3 seater sofa bed with a custom choice of arms to give different looks, it possesses a simple design and is great for small living rooms; choose a version fitted with slim arms for compact rooms and to optimise the seating capacity.   It can be taken apart to remove the cover easily and ease the carrying in small spaces.  On the website you can see the full range of features and sizes of the versatile Belfort, meanwhile take a look at just how easy it is to convert the sofa into a bed!

The Storage Solution:  Colin

Sofa bed with storage

The Colin sofa bed by HomePlaneur is compact and space-saving, as it can be ordered with a handy and stylish storage chaise longue to keep blankets, throws and cushions tidy.  There are multiple arm choices and finishes with this design, making it incredibly versatile and the chaise can be reversed.  The cover is removable and comes in a choice of fabric, eco-leather or leather.

Also, Lampolet®,the patented guaranteed durable opening mechanism allows you to turn the sofa into a bed with one single movement, without removing the seat and back cushions for the ultimate in convenience.

The Holiday Home Solution: Derby

Kids Sofa Bed

The Derby is a fun and funky futon sofa bed, making it an ideal model in a second home or holiday apartment, as an extra bed for guests.  But it can also easily fit into an attic or basement room, making it a great sofa bed for a kids or teenager’s room – a practical and trendy sofa for daytime and a spare bed when they have friends to stay.  Compact and easy to open, the cover becomes a blanket once the sofa is turned into a bed which is a clever touch.

So as you can see, thanks to HomePlaneur – whether you are seeking a solution for a second home, a small apartment, every day or occasional use – there’s plenty of choice when it comes to quality, comfortable and stylish sofa beds.  To check out the full range, click here.

I’ve been shopping around for a new sofa bed. I’ve never heard of Homeplaneur. Would you happen to know if they have a showroom?

Hi, they do have a physical lounge, but it is in Italy where the furniture is made. However their customisable designs are available to anyone via the website.
