Recently I was set a fun task by stylish furniture store, Barker & Stonehouse. They asked me to create a mood board showing how I’d style a room that incorporate a few pieces from their gorgeous Kimberley range, as well as accessories from the store.
My mood board ideas would then be featured on the Barker & Stonehouse website, alongside that of a fellow home interiors blogger, the lovely Laura from Little Miss Homes.
Because of the rustic appearance of the Kimberley range, I thought a soft, muted colour palette, reflecting the colours of nature, and lots of tactile, cosy textures would work well. I wanted to try and get the feel of a woodland lodge or hideaway mountain cabin, somewhere anyone would enjoy relaxing in. The stag cushion and picture reinforce this ‘back to nature’ feel and I simply couldn’t resist that spectacular mirror for a little added ‘salvage appeal’ to the look. I hope you like it?!
If you do, readers now have the option to vote for either my room idea or Laura’s and the winning blogger will receive a gift voucher prize for Barker & Stonehouse, so of course I would be super-grateful if anyone who likes my mood board would take a moment to give me their vote – it would really mean a lot 🙂 Please click here to vote and thank you!
