It’s nice to have a break from the norm from time to time, which is why today I’m featuring a fashion post!
Just recently, I was introduced to the autumn/winter collection over at JD Williams. It’s a site I’ve not properly browsed before and hadn’t realised there are literally hundreds of lines. It’s not just fashion either, I was pleased to see lots of lovely homeware, too.
With the changing seasons, I’ve been quite excited at the prospect of getting back into boots and knitwear. Ankle boots are a perennial favourite of mine, teamed with opaque tights, skinny jeans or jeggings, so it was great to receive these Heavenly Soles Suede Ankle Boots. They’re my perfect autumn footwear; I love suede as it is smart/casual and comfortable with more ‘give’ than regular leather. But these boots have an extra bonus, because they come in a selection of widths. You can have regular D, a wide fitting E or an extra wide EEE, which is an option you certainly don’t get with a lot of boots.
I chose a black pair, but they also come in blue, khaki and stone. The boots have an almond shaped toe and a partially perforated design. With a distinct western vibe, I think they would look great with a denim dress or jeans and a checked shirt. They’re so easy to wear too – just pull them on and go! No fiddly zips or laces to hold you up in the morning.
Normally £45, they are actually on sale at the moment for £31.50 so definitely a bargain buy. You can see the whole range of women’s boots here.
JD Williams also sent me a cosy black geo print blanket wrap to go with the boots. They are a perfect pairing for an autumn stroll or our daily dash on the school run. One size fits all and it is machine washable acrylic. The design features a mixture of herringbone and dog tooth patterns, graduating from black to grey, and it is such a great layering piece for your wardrobe.
Again, the blanket wrap is on offer at the moment – quite a steal at £18 (normally £25) and a perfect cover up for those colder days. Are you getting your wardrobe autumn-ready? What are your favourite fashion pieces for the new season?
Thanks to JD Williams for gifting the items for this review post. All words and opinions are my own as always.
