Ooh, that welcome cup of tea or coffee when you get home and put your feet up, especially if there’s chocolate biscuits on the side.
I love the chance to sit down with a cuppa, be still, quiet and contemplative, or idly watch TV, feet curled up, cat stretched out in front of the fire. That’s the definition of cosiness to me.
The right mug can make it even better and we often have our favourite mugs – extra large capacity, or one with a lid perhaps? It could even be an old chipped one that’s special because it reminds you of a favourite place or person.

Enamel mugs make me think of tents and campfires and camping holidays when I was a little girl. So this nostalgic mug, by Rolfe & Wills at Not On The High Street, complete with woodland scene and little lid is just begging for hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows on top:
I can’t resist anything with a star motif on and this mug from Rockett St George reminds me of coffee shop mugs – and we all love to sit in a nice cosy coffee shop, don’t we?
This next one could definitely be more stylish; the mug itself is nothing to get excited about, but the sentiments certainly conjure up a cosy feeling. You can personalise the words so that they mean something particular to you or a friend, which is nice – from Not On The High Street.
