As one of a team of interior design brand ambassadors for Graham & Brown, each month we are given a trend to discuss on our respective blogs. Last time, we looked at the Eureka trend and this month it is the turn of ‘Horizon’ which is all about embracing Mother Nature and reflecting our travels in our home decor.
So how do we go about bringing adventures and nature inspiration into our home? Well perhaps there is a particular country or vibrant city you have visited that really impacted upon you and recreating a little piece of it at home could be the ideal way to evoke fond memories.
Or perhaps the tranquillity of a particularly memorable beach or forest walk would be a feeling you’d like to encapsulate in your home?
Both designs are also perfect to introduce a cosy, autumnal feel. To build on this theme I would look to add tweedy cushions and checked blankets as well as some woodland motifs, such as a stag head ornament on the wall. Natural wooden furniture and picture frames would further enhance this ‘back to nature’ feel.
The addition of a few gleaming metallics would provide an edge of luxury to your room, especially a piece like this beautiful silver fretwork mirror.
Can’t you just imagine cosying up in your own woodland-inspired living room, with a roaring open fire this autumn? I certainly can! Now, what would your Horizon style be?
