Introducing Stag & Raven – Tattoo Artwork and Accessories
Today I’m excited to share a bit about a unique and quirky local business.
Stag & Raven is a Manchester based Tattoo Artwork brand with a shop in Afflecks, located in the trendy Northern Quarter of the city.
The brand sells work on behalf of UK Tattoo Artists. Now, there’s two things I really like about this idea. One, it provides the artists with a secondary income, and two, it makes tattoo artwork accessible to all. Just because I don’t have a tattoo doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate the wonderful skill and talent of a tattoo artist – so why then wouldn’t I want some of their cool inked designs on my wall?
The tattoo artist collections are varied in style so there is something for everyone and they’re not just wall prints – the designs can be found on fab gifts and homeware too, with many Limited Edition options, and everything priced under £60. The store has recently launched some gorgeous Sharon McKinley jewellery too.
I’ve picked out just a few of my favourite items from the website below, but there are plenty more to be found online so do have a look:
Hannah and Kate from Stag & Raven kindly sent me this wonderful framed print to style in my own home:
The Tattooed Skull print is by El Famoso (a London collective including illustrators Rich and Chris Fairhead) and combines traditional tattoo design with Mexican ‘day of the dead’. This bold Risograph print is a firm favourite at Stag &Raven HQ – understandably. Printed on 200gsm artist paper and size A3, it also comes in black which is equally stunning.
I opted for a white frame to complement the intricately designed gold skull, which contrasts nicely against our dark living room walls:
You can buy the prints either framed or unframed, but if you do opt for a frame they are wooden with a perspex front, making them practical and less breakable than some others.
So whether you like your tattoo art to adorn your skin, or your wall – or both – Stag & Raven’s talented featured artists are well worth checking out.
