Review: Scatter Cushions from Sofa Sofa

Sofa_SofaWe would really like to buy some new seating soon; our ten year old leather sofas and armchairs have taken a hammering by our children (why can’t boys sit normally?) but they have done remarkably well under such punishment.

Sofa is one online destination I’ll certainly be considering for our next suite, with their range of British made sofas and armchairs.  They offer over fifty designs and hundreds of fabric choices, and by cutting out the retailer, the customer can save in the region of 50%.  You can also take advantage of their no risk 21 day free trial, which is the sort of reassurance we often look for when shopping online for big purchases.

In the meantime, until we buy our new furniture, one sure-fire way to improve the look of an ageing sofa is with some smart new accessories, like scatter cushions and throws.

The team over at Sofa wanted me to see a their quality scatter cushions up close, so recently sent me a pair to try at home.  They have a massive range of cushions to choose from, with a further comprehensive choice of colours.  You could match them to your sofa or go for contrasting fabrics to add a pop of colour or co-ordinate them with your decor.

The ones I opted for are called the Hobbs scatter cushions in midnight blue.  They are well made in a dense and hardwearing woven tweed fabric, with piped edges which is a feature you tend to find in higher quality cushions.  They have a plump, polyester filling and are a generous size.  I tried them out with a couple of different looks, firstly with toning greys and blues:

Then with a pop of contrasting ochre yellow:

Which colour theme do you prefer?  I think the first look is my favourite, but that’s the nice thing about scatter cushions – you can just switch them up whenever you fancy a change.

I would certainly recommend you take a look for yourself at the accessories at Sofa if you are after some quality cushions, or indeed a new sofa or armchair.
