You may already know that we are fans of Lego here at Tidy Away Today (in particular the younger members of the family) so they were delighted to be sent a new set recently from the Scooby-Doo Lego range to review. This is a great one for Halloween, since the Mystery Inc gang are well known for solving spooky mysteries.
The Mummy Museum Mystery is a small set, but there is enough about it to enjoy and amuse. Personally, I think that sometimes the bigger sets can overwhelm young builders and perhaps a quicker build that you can get on with and play more quickly can give as much fun and delight as a big, impressive build.
This is also a great giftable set with the price being around £11.99, ideal for birthdays and Christmas presents.
The characters included are Shaggy, with his trademark stubbly goatee (and two expressive faces on either side of his head), a standing Scooby-Doo and a Mummy with a removable headdress for that all important ‘unmasking’ moment in a classic Scooby-Doo story. Essentially, Shaggy and Scooby need to solve the mystery of the missing gems in a creepy museum setting.
Better watch out behind you, fellas!
With some nice features such as the golden sarcophagus, a secret door and even a hamburger that plays a part in the mystery, it will amuse any kids with a fondness for the comic capers of Shaggy and Scoob.
There are a few more nice-looking sets in the collection including a great looking Mystery Mansion and the iconic Mystery Machine. The packaging is instantly recognisable on these Scooby-Doo themed sets, with their green boxes and purple Scooby-Doo logo. These characters have been around for a very long time and I think a lot of us are fond of them – I was a fan as a youngster, now my children watch the cartoons – so I can see this being a popular range for boys and girls alike with Christmas coming up. We predict lots of crazy adventures ahead for the Mystery Inc. Lego gang!
