Last year we borrowed our friends’ camping equipment and had our first foray into family camping. We had a fab time and definitely want to do some more. We’re keeping our eyes out for a good deal on a tent and all the equipment we will need.
The camping gear company Olpro have got us off to a good start by providing us with a sleeping bag to try.
Although we don’t have much in the way of camping equipment yet, we do already have a couple of sleeping bags as our eldest boy has been away to scout camp a couple of times. But they are also really useful if we go to stay with family or for the boys going to a friend’s house for a sleepover.
Our youngest son doesn’t have his own sleeping bag yet, so he gets to keep this one and he had the choice of design.
There is the Witley sleeping bag – gorgeous colours!
Or Berrow Hill, which is the one Beau liked the best.
It comes in a handy carry bag which also acts as a cover to keep it clean and tidy between uses.
It is a very lightweight polyester sleeping bag and the lining has an exclusive Olpro design with a gorgeous camping theme – there are trees, barbecues, rabbits etc. You can get the same Berrow Hill design on this Olpro melamine dining set, too.
But the Witley range is equally lovely, with co-ordinated dining ware, sleeping bags and even a cool windbreak – I actually would have struggled to choose between the two designs, so I’m glad Beau made the decision. Here he is enjoying his new sleeping bag, definitely a happy camper!
I think the lovely design of these two ranges pushes camping gear up a notch, from the ordinary and purely functional, more towards the ‘glamping’ end of the scale, which is definitely something that appeals to me! What do you think? If you’re not a camper, could this stylish kit tempt you to try?
I was sent an Olpro Berrow Hill sleeping bag for the purpose of this review. Words and opinions are all my own.
