Stylish Coat Hooks and Hardware from Abodent

I’m a big fan of the small details that make a house a home.  Often a nice vintage light switch, industrial cupboard knobs or coat hooks can be the perfect finishing touches that a room needs.  It is also a way to add some of your personality into your home.

I’m particularly fond of this sort of decorative hardware, so when I recently discovered Abodent, specialists in unique knobs, hooks and homeware I was really taken with their lovely, stylish and quirky ranges.

From a variety of coat hooks and coat racks, stunning glass or ceramic drawer knobs and door handles, to an eclectic mix of cushions, there’s an abundance of charming accessories to choose from.

These are just some of my favourite things I spotted on the website…

I was also extremely smitten with a new arrival to the store, which is this set of three Boat Yard Coat Hooks, priced at £14.99.

With a lovely rustic, distressed appearance and stencilled numbers, these are right up my street.  Add to that the fact that they are numbered, I knew they would be ideal for my three sons’ school coats and bags in our understairs area.  When these weathered metal coat hooks arrived, they were bigger than I had expected (they measure 3cm deep x 11.5cm wide x 13.0cm high).  With two ball tipped arms to each number, they obviously provide double hanging, which is great for keeping PE bags and coats on the same peg.

Our cheap and cheerful hanging solution so far had been a set of three ‘drunken octopus’ hooks that looked like they were ready for a fight.  I was glad to see the back of them, especially as one of the three had apparently passed out and dropped off the wall in a stupor!

So here are our three lovely new hooks, set at the appropriate height for sons number 1, 2 and 3.  I adore the look of them and even in our tiny little loo space, they have managed to make a nice feature out of an otherwise boring blank wall.

Also on the Abodent site, I couldn’t help noticing several cute owl accessories, and since the little owl towel hooks from my bathroom makeover a while ago proved to be popular with readers, I had to share  – you can check them all out here.

Thank you to Abodent for kindly gifting me the three practical and stylish hooks, I hope you will take a look at their site, after all everyone needs hardware and other small accessories in the home and there’s no reason they can’t be cute and characterful!
