Time to Give: Christmas Gift Inspiration from Fat Face
With life so hectic, its easy to lose sight of what’s important sometimes. It can feel like fighting fire some days. Dealing with the most pressing stuff and not always appreciating the bigger picture. The end of year is a notoriously busy period, isn’t it? My calendar has never looked so full with commitments and things to remember! All too often, November and December whizz by in a flurry of activities and before you know it, it’s a cold, dark, looong January again.
So I was delighted when Fat Face contacted me about sharing their winter edit. In case you didn’t know, Fat Face is the clothing company with a penchant for adventure and a life outside the 9-5, so they understand the importance of time well spent.
Not only did the capsule collection look great and my kind of style, the message of their campaign resonated with me too; it’s a time to give, to enjoy being with those you love and ensuring they receive the perfect gift this Christmas. I’m definitely on board with that!
My intention is to savour everything this season has to offer. I’m planning time to shop, take a stroll and appreciate my surroundings. To keep running, to read, spend time with my family, see my friends, eat quite a few mince pies and generally make the most of life!
And if along the way, I can simplify anything, that will make me happy. Same with fashion – I like my wardrobe to be uncomplicated and easy to wear; this Charlie Crochet Floral Shirt Dress is the embodiment of that:
Instead of thinking about what top will go with which bottoms, this dress is a gorgeous one-piece-wonder. Literally you can throw it on, it’s so wearable, and could easily take you straight from work to an evening out; just add heels, some glam earrings or a necklace and swap the work bag for a clutch. Effortless and flattering!
Made in a lightweight brushed cotton, this button front design has a gently frilled hem and cuffs, pockets (which we all love, don’t we?!). With a dainty collar and tie waist, it’s true to size and I LOVE the pattern and gorgeous colour combo; ochre tones on a dark background.
As it’s the time to give, I’m determined to start shopping for Christmas now and not leave it all ’til December. Which is another reason I was thrilled to partner with Fat Face as it has given me inspiration for gifting ideas this year. I mean, for example, who doesn’t love a good travel mug? Standing by the football pitch, catching the train, during a long car journey – those are times I know I’ll definitely use my Woodland Floral Travel Mug. I bet you know someone who could use one, too?!
I always think a buttery leather bag makes a great gift; that and a nice bottle of perfume. I can guarantee the Hetti Leather Cross Body Bag would delight any lucky recipient on Christmas morning (take note, partners!)
As well as a handbag and perfume, let’s not forget about a good, soft and snuggly jumper on the Christmas wishlist…
Seriously stylish and on trend with its starry embellishments, you can’t help but feel cosy in this soft, Light Grey Lurex Star Jumper with a touch of cashmere. (You may not know it, but I’m pretty obsessed with stars. From homeware to clothes, bags and earrings, anything with a star on I find irresistible! So for me this is THE perfect gift.)
The jumper looks equally fab dressed down with jeans, but is so, so comfortable and smart teamed with the soft stretchy Jennie Jacquard Skirt. It’s the perfect duo – my ideal Christmas Day outfit, in fact.
I tend to live in jeans so this skirt makes a nice change. It has plenty of give in it so doesn’t feel restrictive and I know I’ll wear it often with opaque tights, ankle boots and a variety of knits. It could easily be dressed up with a little party top, too, as the fabric has a hint of sparkle.
I love the versatility of this winter collection. Fat Face have really designed it well. Basically, buy any item and get multiple wearing options out of it!
Now never let it be said that I don’t love jewellery almost as much as coffee and homeware – once again those star designs do it for me. I also love the beaded bracelets – don’t you think a pretty little stack of arm candy instantly lifts an outfit? Maybe you have someone in mind who would appreciate this jewellery collection at Christmas.
In need of some more stocking filler inspiration? A trio of cute lip balms or pocket sized perfume perhaps, to pop in that leather bag?
Meanwhile Fat Face’s other gifting sets , woolly hats and gloves are great options. The mittens and hat are giving me all the vintage vibes. Looove!!
And of course for anyone who hates having cold hands but still wants to scroll social media apps on their phone (me!) then the knit overflap mittens are the ideal solution…
