It’s the time of year when we want to get cosy after all and embrace ‘hygge’ – that Scandinavian sense of cosy contentment and well-being.
As I’d spent quite a while researching the Wayfairwebsite, there were other items that naturally caught my eye and so I wanted to do a little follow-up post today.
I’ve chosen six items that I think would help to update a living room and why (just click on the pictures to take you to the relevant category for pricing and delivery info):
Deluxe 3 Seater Chesterfield Sofa
Velvet chesterfield style sofas in rich jewel colours are a great way to give your room a sense of grandeur and really make a statement! This shade of midnight blue is gorgeous and taps into the popular trend for darker interiors.
Tarbes 27cm Table Lamp
This versatile lamp can be placed on a side table or draped over a hook on the wall. The trendy copper frame gives the lamp a warm glow.
Flannel Fleece Blanket
Loving this chilli coloured throw to warm up the sofa – so soft and snuggly and a great autumnal colour!
This little side table is so handy and chic, with its beautiful intricate design – great to have beside your sofa or armchair. It looks stylish and is practical, too!
Faux is the way to go if you like your plants to be low maintenance! Without the hassle of caring for them, they still give your room a natural vibe.
Window Mirrors Accent Mirror
There’s a growing trend for traditional black metal Critall style windows and doors in home design, replacing bi-fold doors to some extent – so this mirror is a great way to capture the look without the hassle and expense of doing a major renovation!
If your living room lacks personality or needs a complete new look, don’t be bland – add colour. Deep blues, greens and spicy ginger in the form of cushions or throws using luxurious chenille or velvet can really work a treat. Copper is a great metal to add warmth, as shown with the Tarbes table lamp above. Plants always add a fresh feeling to a space and can help reinvigorate it, whilst mirrors can brighten a dull corner, reflecting light where you need it most.
I hope these 6 items have given you some fresh ideas for updating your living room!
