Cosy is difficult as you need warmth but also ventilation. The recommendation for Covid-19 times is also lots of ventilation with an input as well as an output to blow the virus away. We have taken to opening front bedroom windows as well as back bedroom windows and doors and allowing a blow through every morning.

Nice dimmed lighting makes a room look cosy, and I love throws on the bottom of my bed with cushions.

My top tip for a cosy bedroom is a clean room! I couldn’t sleep if I had a messy room.

Get rid of the clutter, and use a blackout curtain to keep the external light at bay.

My top tip for a cosy room is to invest in a cosy duvet – we have just bought a down quilt, it was expensive but it is so light, warm and cosy – I love it!

Make sure you have a sweep through each week to get rid of those bits that can accumulate each day – eg things out of your pockets that get put on the side. Good quality bedding and light-blocking curtains

Avoid clutter, have good soft lighting, (lamps & nightlights), keep things bright with light colours. Try to stay mess free, remove dirty clothes etc, as soon as you can.
