Create the Bathroom of Your Dreams on a Budget

Are you dreaming of creating your perfect bathroom but don’t want to spend a fortune? Your bathroom is an essential room in the house and has the potential to either add value to a property or diminish it, so ensuring this room looks excellent is vital. Making the bathroom of your dreams happen without spending much on the project may seem impossible, but with some careful planning and savvy shopping, you can create your perfect bathroom. Here is a little inspiration to help you plan your dream bathroom on a budget:

Get Inspired

If you needed an excuse to trawl through interior design websites in search of your perfect bathroom, this is it! Carrying out plenty of research and looking at examples of real-life bathrooms that you love in magazines and online is an excellent starting point for your project. Through your research, you will be able to gain a far more precise idea of how you want your bathroom to look and what you need to make this happen.

Start Saving

Yes, you will need to spend some money making your bathroom dreams a reality, but there are plenty of opportunities to make savings. Building on your research and referring back to bathrooms you loved online, you can then begin seeking out similar items at discounted prices. Using the product descriptions and searching online for these items in the sale can be a great way to pay less. You may even find ex-display versions of the bathroom fittings you like at your local bathroom showroom or DIY store.

If you prefer not to splash out at all on a new bathroom suite, you could stick with your existing fittings. As most people opt for white bathroom suites anyway, you may find that you can simply update your existing bath and sink with new taps to give them a fresh look. Doing this could save you a significant amount of cash and will also eliminate waste.

Complete the Look

Have you found the perfect tiles, only to discover they are too expensive? If so, you may want to consider buying a smaller amount of tiles instead of tiling the entire bathroom. Using the tiles only in areas where you really need them is a great way to achieve the look you want without overspending.

Your choice of accessories will provide the perfect finishing touch and help achieve the desired look for your bathroom. Items such as candles, vintage-style perfume bottles and plants can all bring plenty of style to your bathroom without costing a fortune.

Make it Last

When you have put so much of your time into creating your perfect bathroom, you need to be sure that your hard work will stand the test of time. To help keep your bathroom looking great for as long as possible, it is helpful to use products such as RIW toughseal to ensure it is fully waterproof. Re-grouting the tiles now and again will also help to keep the bathroom looking pristine.
