Creating a Garden Oasis

Gardens are so much more than a place to plant flowers and mow grass. A garden can be an extension of the house, and it can be somewhere that you create a secondary living area for those warmer days.

Whether you’re a seasoned green thumb, a beginner in the garden, or you are somebody who already goes to get out there and make an Oasis. Then you’ll want the tips below to help you to get started.Transforming your garden isn’t just about plants. You can add printed deckchairs to your decking to really help to show it off and have somewhere to sit and relax. Let’s take a look at the things that you could do to turn your garden into a peaceful haven.

  1. Plan your space properly. Before you dive into planting anything or laying down any decking, make sure that you take a big step back and visualize the garden that you want. Assessing the size, shape, and terrain is important so that you can determine what kind of plants you can put down and whether or not you need to gravel your garden rather than put grass down.
  2. Think about your plants carefully. Did you know that you could make or break the aesthetic appeal of your garden just by choosing the wrong plant? Choosing a mix of perennials and annuals will ensure something is always in bloom. This gives your garden year round appeal. Native plants are also a great choice because these will adapt to local conditions and require far less maintenance than you think.
  3. Add a water feature. Everybody loves the sound of the sea, right? Well, the sound of a trickling water feature can add a whole new dimension of tranquility to your garden. Water features can also attract new wildlife, whether it’s birds or frogs, which has that interactive element to your Oasis. Positioning your water feature where it can be seen and heard from your relaxation spot is also important if you want to capture that vibe that you’re trying to embody.
  4. Consider your seating. We already talked about printed deck chairs, but you need somewhere that you can sit back, relax, and really soak in that beauty. Comfortable seating that complements the aesthetic of your garden, from a hammock between 2 trees to benches along the edges can really make your garden stand out and feel like the space you want to relax in.
  5. Have some shade. With the right structures, you can add shade to your garden that gives everybody somewhere comfortable to sit. Gazebos, arches, domes, and even pergolas can define that space for you. Make sure that you’re choosing a high quality oak frame if you want to add a timeless and rustic touch.

Your garden can become the Oasis that you have in mind with a little careful planning and some forward thinking. Don’t be afraid to dive in and create that Oasis now ready for the sunshine ahead.
