How to Repair Damaged Hair

There’s no worse feeling than having dry, brittle, snapped hair. It can often feel unmanageable and have a massive impact on your self-confidence. Well, not to worry, with the right care and treatment, you can fully restore your hair to its natural health, improving strength and shine. This post will show you how to repair your damaged hair and restore your self-confidence. Read on to find out more.

Gentle Hair Care
When trying to repair damaged hair, it’s essential that you limit all the harmful substances you wash and style your hair with. Try shampoo and conditioners that are free from sulphates, they will help nourish your hair without stripping those natural oils. Also trying to avoid washing your hair daily, whilst always detangling with a detangle brush to prevent your hair from further breakage. Limiting heat is also essential to prevent further damage and breakage, always using a heat protector when styling. Satin bonnets or pillow cases are a great way to protect your hair whilst you sleep.

Nourish & Repair
Targeted treatments for your scalp and hair, as well as deep conditioning, are essential when trying to restore your hair to its natural health. Using natural oils such as castor, argan, or coconut is a great way to bring moisture back to the hair as well as strengthen it. You may also consider a hair growth serum which helps to strengthen hair follicles, reduce breakage, and help promote thicker, healthier hair. A scalp massage is also beneficial to boost blood flow and promote growth alongside your serum.

Hair Health Starts from the Inside
Strong, healthy hair isn’t just about genetics; your diet and health play a big role in the overall health of your hair, so these should be a top priority if you have damaged hair. One of the most well-known nutrients for your hair is Biotin, commonly referred to as vitamin B7. Vitamin B7 is what helps boost keratin production, the protein which helps to form the structure of your hair, nails, and skin. If deficient in Biotin, it can actually be a cause for brittle hair or even cause hair loss; however, it’s best to get medical advice from a professional before taking any form of supplements.

The information in this post should be useful and help you repair your hair so that it is stronger and healthier than ever. This can improve your appearance but also boost your self-confidence and help you feel your best.
