Garden Extras To Create The Perfect Outdoor Space This Summer

Photo by David Hunter on Unsplash

Garden transformations have been some of the biggest trends in recent years. Even though the weather can be unpredictable in the UK, when the weather is on form, there’s no better place to be than in your garden. Creating a garden oasis gives you the perfect place to enjoy it, somewhere to relax or entertain.

But is there more you could do to help you make more of your garden? Take a look at these garden extras that will help you create the perfect outdoor space this summer.

Create an outdoor kitchen

An outdoor kitchen makes a fantastic addition to any garden. And, if you decide to DIY it, it can be an affordable addition too! Building an outdoor kitchen yourself can help you enjoy custom choices designed to fit your garden’s size and style. Add a barbecue, some worktops, a sink and a fridge to give you everything you need to dine al fresco this summer.

Add some stylish lighting

Lights can make a big difference to how your garden looks, helping you enjoy it in the evening while adding some stylish touches. While solar lights are a popular option, you might want to consider adding lights that are connected to your main power source. Electrical contractors will be able to advise on the most suitable types of lighting and carry out the installation on your behalf. Set your lights on a timer so that they add a magical touch to your garden every evening.

Heat your space

Adding some heating to your garden is a great way to make the most out of it. Even on those chillier days and nights, a little heating will keep you comfortable so you can stay outside. There are a lot of different heating options available, from gas fire pits to wood burners and even electric heaters – giving you different options depending on your preferences.

If you choose a fire option, you can also benefit from some added ambience, creating a warm and relaxing atmosphere you can enjoy night after night.

Build a garden room

If you have the space, a garden room is one luxury you won’t want to miss out on. Garden rooms have a lot of different uses, including offices, gyms and living spaces. You can get some inspiration for garden rooms to help you design your own and make the most of your garden. Garden rooms also add a lot of value to your home, giving it a lot of appeal to buyers if you decide to sell it in the future.

Your outdoor space can be a fun extension of your home, and those little extras can make it even more special during the summer months. Consider adding different furniture options to cover both relaxation and dining, so you can get full use of your space. While you can’t always guarantee the weather, those sunny days will be made even more memorable with the help of your garden extras.
