My Unique ‘You Choose’ Bathroom Roller Blind

When I heard that made to measure blinds manufacturer, Apollo Blinds, had launched a new service, offering customers the chance to create a beautiful bespoke blind in ANY fabric of their choice, I was intrigued and interested to find out more.

Especially as I had been hankering after bringing some gorgeous fabric from ‘Earthed‘ by William Clark into my house somehow – and thought this could be the ideal project.

Earthed Torrent in Stone

Earthed creates contemporary interior fabrics, inspired by the natural world, with collections called Helix, Sub Surface and The Upperlands in beautiful, organic colours – they’re really something exquisite.  The fabric I chose is this one, called Torrent in Stone, from The Upperlands collection.

We all love to put our own stamp on our homes, so what better way than with a personalised Roman or roller blind?  The new You Choose service also features a digital printing service whereby customers can print any high res image onto a made to measure window blind.

We’ve been in need of a blind in our shower room since it was re-fitted last year, partly due to not seeing a design I really liked and also being slightly worried about drilling into our new tiles.  So it was good to find out that Apollo Blinds arrange for a local professional fitter to do the install.

I opted for a right hand control and a white plastic chain, which is a better option than a metal one in a steamy bathroom.  The backing fabric is cream as standard, but you can request white, which I did.  It was also suggested that we have a ‘reverse roll’ so the backing fabric would not be visible – a good tip to remember.

Marble Fabric

I’m so delighted with the result, I think the neutral tones and organic feel of the linen really complements the earthy, chalky grey of our Ted Baker tiles and the swirling design gives the room some personality that was lacking before.

With ‘You Choose’ the possibilities are endless – imagine if you sourced some amazing retro fabric, or you wanted to re-purpose some much loved curtains or, as in my case, you’ve found a fabric supplier with the most amazing designs you just have to have!  The result is a beautiful bespoke statement blind, instead of a bland mass-produced version from the high street.

And of course, as one of the UK’s largest providers of made-to-measure blinds, you have the confidence that by using Apollo Blinds, your bespoke Roman or roller blinds will be expertly made to precise measurements.  Also choosing a quality fabric, like those from Earthed, will enable you to co-ordinate your blinds beautifully with the rest of your room!
