Top 5 People You Should Have at Your Wedding

Weddings are a tremendous amount of work, even though they’re a lot of fun to plan for.

You can’t do it all on your own, either, and there are plenty of different types of people you’ll come to rely on throughout the process. In this article, you’ll learn about five particularly important individuals you’ll want to make sure you have on board to make sure your special day goes off without a hitch!

A Professional Wedding Photographer

While you can technically have an amateur take some photos for the wedding, a proper wedding photographer is a must if you want to make each picture count.

They know exactly how to get people to stand and pose, and given how expensive their equipment is and the extra time taken in post-production, you can guarantee you’ll have a beautiful set of snaps by the end of the day.

A Wedding Planner

If your wedding is particularly large, it may be worth approaching a wedding planner. They’re there to manage virtually every aspect of the big day, from themes to logistics, to ensure everything goes according to plan.

They’re not essential for every wedding, but if you find yourself becoming particularly overwhelmed, they’re a worthwhile investment.

Live Musicians or a DJ

You might not notice the music much at a wedding, but you’ll certainly notice it if it’s not there. Music creates the perfect atmosphere, especially when paired appropriately with a theme.

Again, you can set a playlist going yourself, but if you want that extra special touch, hire a local band or DJ to really make the place come alive.

A Caterer

No matter what size wedding you’re planning, you’re going to need a caterer. A decent catering staff takes care of absolutely everything to do with food, from cooking for all your guests to arranging the tables and serving.

There are many different types of cuisines you could go for, so consult with a few different caterers to see what they offer and who you resonate with the most.

An Advisor

Weddings are a lot all at once, and it’s easy to get overwhelmed if you’re not careful. For this reason, it’s always a good idea to have someone close by to keep you stable and grounded.

This simply needs to be someone you trust, like a close friend or family member. It’s someone to run ideas past and gain reassurance from that you’re making the right decisions – someone that’s there every step of the way to guide you and prevent things from getting on top of you.

The wedding planner, if you have one, can also fulfil a similar role, but having someone who knows you well is the most important thing.

Wrapping Up

Hopefully, you’re now a little clearer on the sort of team you should assemble when planning a wedding. There will always be hiccups along the way, but building a strong support network of professionals, friends, and family is key. Good luck with the big day!
