Wednesday night was the Cosmo Blog Awards, in association with Next – the first blogging event I have been to.
This is an annual event that has been going for four years and recognises bloggers across various categories, from Beauty and Food to Travel and Relationships. ย Year on year it has had a massive response – this year there were a staggering 43,000 entrants! ย I was fortunate to be shortlisted in the Best Home Interiors Blog category, voted by followers and a judging panel, and invited along to the awards event at the OXO Tower in London, along with 6 other interiors blogger finalists.
Amazingly, my little blog received a ‘highly commended’ award – to say I was surprised is an understatement!ย I had to be pushed through the crowds to go up and collect my certificate and Next goody bag.
We had a fantastic night – I got to meet up with Jen from Love Chic Living who was the winner on the night in our category, so well done, Jen – big congratulations.
We met outside so we could go in together – it was a little daunting! ย But we soon got chatting to other bloggers. Cocktails were flowing all night and we could enjoy some photo booth fun, hairstyling, make-up and nails.
The other finalists in our category included Jenny from The Treasure Hunter, Caroline from Patchwork Harmony and Sam from Design Lovers Blog.
After some more partying and a few more cocktails we headed off with another goodie bag – what a fab night and so completely different from my usual Wednesday nights in!
