4 Ways to Give Your Home The Luxury Hotel Treatment

While it’s nice to be at home, there’s something special about spending a night in a luxury hotel. In fact, if they had all the money in the world, many people would elect to spend many a night in five-star boutique accommodation, and possibly even live there.

Alas, unless you have a multi-million-pound idea up your sleeve, that won’t be a realistic ambition.

There is another way to get a big dose of the magic we associate with luxury hotels, however, and that’s to incorporate luxury hotel touches into your own home. While you may be unable to fully recreate the magic, you’ll be surprised at how far a few touches will take you — and what’s more, none of them are that expensive.

Add Flowers Everywhere

The next time you find yourself near a five-star hotel, take a walk into the lobby. In all likelihood, you’ll find plenty of fresh flowers, which not only help to brighten up the space but also contribute to a lovely aroma. You can recreate this energy by adding multiple bouquets of fresh flowers to your home, ideally near the doorway so you can feel the effect as soon as you walk through the door. Most flower shops have weekly sales; keep your eye out for any deals when you’re about town, and you’ll have a luxury home without breaking the bank.

Create a Spa-Esque Bathroom

It’s rare that someone looks forward to spending time in the bathroom when they’re travelling, but that’s very much what happens when someone is staying in a five-star hotel. Those bathrooms tend to be magnificent, offering a wide variety of touches that really allow the guest to sink into relaxation and comfort. You can recreate the experience in your home by adding a whirlpool bath like those available at https://vidalux.co.uk/whirlpool-baths/, incorporating high-end materials such as brass into your fixtures, and hanging art on the wall. Round it off with a shower bomb infused with relaxing scents, and you’ll leave your bathroom as relaxed as can be.

Minimalist, Elegant Touches

Luxury hotels are masters of minimalism. They really imbue the message that ‘less is more.’ There may be plenty of nice touches in the lobby and room, but they’ll have been carefully selected and will add something to the space. In your home, look at taking the same approach. By selecting quality pieces and keeping your rooms clutter-free, you’ll have created a sophisticated space that allows you to truly relax.

Upgrade Your Bedroom

Luxury hotels fully understand that people come to their hotels, ultimately, to sleep. Stay in a five-star resort, and you’ll be all but guaranteed to have a perfect night’s sleep. You can give your home the luxury hotel touch by upgrading your bedroom — for example, could you invest in a new, hyper-comfortable mattress? What about adding blackout curtains? Round it off with joy-inspiring decor elements and touches that feed the senses (a diffuser works well), and you’ll feel as if you’re spending a night in a luxury hotel every single night.
