Add The Personal Touch To Your Hallway With These Tips

The first thing that you see when you walk into the house after a long day of work is your hallway. You want to be able to step over that threshold and feel inspired; you don’t want to flinch when you see the mess! The entrance of the house may not be the first place to consider redecorating when the urge to renovate takes over. The thing is, the hallway is the first thing you look at, and you want to feel good about it!

Forget following trends on Instagram and stop thinking about the fact you haven’t yet got around to the picture framing place to get your photos appropriately mounted. It’s time to think about how you can take those photos of yours and make your hallway more personal. Adding the personal touch to your space is so important, and with the tips below, you can add that personal touch!

  1. When it comes to the hallway, choose light. Hallways are small, dark places without much light pouring in. If you go for a dark colour, you’ll swallow the space and find that there’s no room for anything. Instead, you need to think about ensuring that you choose light colours and make this space inviting. The bright and light feel warm and comfortable.
  2. Add those photos – once you’ve got them framed, of course. The hallway walls don’t need to be overcrowded, but adding family pictures can lift your mood as you walk through the door. Personal touches require personal moments, and the photos of you and your family give you precisely that!
  3. Don’t forget to sort out the flooring in your hallway. It’s a place of heavy footfall, but if you don’t have the money to tear up the carpet and put down lino, add a hallway runner instead. You can easily choose a color and add this right away, and you’ll be able to really add some texture to the space!
  4. When you want to expand the space in your hallway, add some mirrors! Not only will you be able to use the light, you will have to make the hallway look much more significant, but you’ll also be able to do a quick maintenance check before leaving the house. Go quirky with statement mirrors instead of just huge rectangles on the walls!

  5. Buying something to ensure that the hallway is organized is essential. You want to have shoe racks and coat hangers so that the entrance stays tidy. The tidier the hall, the better it will look!
  6. Choose a piece of decor that’s quirky. Why? Well, you want to give your guests something to talk about, of course! You can add a piece of artwork, or change your radiators into a wall-mounted piece. Either way, something like this will bring your hallway a little life!

Your hallway can be more personal with these tips. What do you want to do with your hall this year? Let us know what you think!
