Young And Exciting Home Decor Brands You Need To Know About

Home really is where the heart is and these cutting-edge brands were certainly developed with that in mind. Are you looking to add a few finishing touches to your home, or perhaps you’re just shopping around for some home decor inspiration? Step away from the #homedecor hashtag for just a couple of minutes and get to know these indie brands that are doing their bit.

From contemporary furniture and lighting to one-of-a-kind antiques and artwork, here are 6 young and exciting home decor brands you need to know about this year.

1stdibs (@1stdibs)

Founded back in 2001 by Michael Bruno in Paris, 1st dibs first started out at the renowned antique market Marché Aux Puces. The brand now specialises in one-of-a-kind antiques, from unique art pieces to rattan furniture. If you’re looking to get your hands on some rare pieces for your home, you’ll find plenty on their online marketplace.

NOA (@noa.uk)

The perfect candle can light up any home. At NOA, all of their candles are vegan-friendly and every single product is hand created by founder Natasha. The-UK based brand is also leading the way in terms of eco-friendliness, even their website is CO2 neutral!

If you’re looking to add some tasteful finishing touches to your home, from soy wax candles to incense and room sprays, we think you’ll love NOA as much as we do.

Loft You (@loftyoucom)

Loft You is a modern design brand that blends simplicity with contemporary and current design trends. Their studio first opened in Poland in 2014 and the brand has since expanded to sell their minimalist furniture and contemporary lighting across Europe. Sustainability is very much at the heart of everything they do and all of their products are handmade from recyclable materials. We can get on board with that!

Cold Picnic (@coldpicnic)

If NSFW bath mats are your thing (why wouldn’t they be?), then you’ll definitely want to check out Cold Picnic. All of Cold Picnic’s soft furnishings are designed by founders Sung and Buer from their design studio in Brooklyn. Their abstract, statement-making designs are complete with soft and shaggy textiles that will add a gorgeous touch to any room.. This is one you’ll have to see for yourself.

Hem (@hem)

Based in Stockholm, Sweden, Hem is a fresh and contemporary design studio selling independent furniture and decor. The brand first rose to fame on Instagram and have since become a cult-favourite across Europe. In fact, AD Magazine in France once famously quoted: “ABBA. IKEA. Alexander Skarsgard. To that list of irresistible Swedish imports, you can now add Hem.” We’re sold.

Patch Plants (@patchplants)

No home is complete without a plant (or two). Patch Plants was founded in 2015 by Freddie, a man on a mission to turn his bare balcony into an urban garden. Since then, the UK-based brand has grown into an online marketplace for indoor and outdoor plants. Patch Plants work with over 40 specialist growers to source the most beautiful, unique plants that will show off any room.
