If you want to keep up with the trends, impress your friends and create a home you look forward to coming back to every day, you need to know the top interior trends of 2025.

It can be hard to keep up with interior design trends when they are changing all the time. In 2025, these interior design trends are simple to implement and are timeless. This means you can implement them on any sized budget, and keep them past 2025. All of the trends really help to make a house feel like a home.

Here are some of the top interior design trends of 2025 that you need to know.

Zones

One trend that is taking the world by storm is zoning. This is a way that you can split up your home into different sections. Each section has its own purpose and decor. This could be to meet the needs of different family members, for example, you have a family room, a dining room, a play room, a home office, a home gym, etc. Alternatively, this method is being used to create points of interest throughout the home, character and a nice flow.

You can do this by working with a professional interior designer and contractor, explaining to them how you want your house to feel at different points. You can also do this yourself, if you are creative and hands on. If you wish to add walls and change the structures to create more specific zones, then you will need high quality plasterboard, ceiling and floor plates, fixtures and more. Some people choose not to change the structure of their home and instead, use furniture and decor to create zones.

Drapes

Drapery was used a long time ago and is making an appearance in 2025. These are thick fabrics typically used to keep the heat in rooms where there are large windows and doors. However, they are now being used to frame the windows and create points of interest in the room. They come in a range of beautiful colours, fabrics and textures, so you can use them to customise your space in a dramatic way.

Art Deco

Art deco originated in France in 1910 and was popular in the 1920s and 1930s. It very briefly pops up each year, but 2025 seems to be the year it is making a full comeback. Not only are households using the furniture from the art deco era, but also the layouts, designs and patterns. More homes will be filled with rich colours, luxurious materials, geometric shapes and sleek lines in 2025.

Jewel Tones

Jewel tones are a beautiful variation of yellow, green, purple, blue and red. When incorporated in interior design, they create a striking look in the home that can have a positive impact on mood and perception. These colours invoke luxury, comfort and warmth. The perfect combination for any home in 2025, to help create an inviting space and impact the impression of your home when people first walk in.

Use these top interior design trends to inspire your home decor in 2025.
