Nights In Done Right – It’s Time To Get Cosy

You put a lot of work into your home, so why wouldn’t you want to make the most of it? Nights in are becoming more and more popular, and there are a lot of reasons for this. Perhaps you’re trying to ease the cost of living crisis, you’re new parents, or you simply prefer staying in. When life is busy, sometimes a cosy night in can be just what you need to feel right again.

Want to know some of the secrets to the perfect night in? It’s time to get cosy with the help of the following tips.

Plan your evening

Firstly, decide what you want your night in to look like. Is it going to be a film night? Cocktails and kitchen dancing? Or maybe you’re going to have a night in playing games or doing a puzzle? Whatever you decide to do, get a plan in place – it’ll give you something to look forward to, and make it feel a little more special than an ordinary night at home.

Get your toasty essentials ready

What’s one of the best things about having a night in? Not having to get dressed up! Unless you want to, of course. Treat yourself to some comfortable loungewear, a fresh pair of women’s and Mens Slippers, and maybe some new socks too. Make sure you’ve got some fluffy blankets nearby ready to enjoy a snuggle on the sofa!

Treat yourself to nice food and drink

The good thing about staying in is being able to indulge in some good food and drink, without having to leave your home. There are a lot of options to choose from to help you enjoy some top-notch nosh at home, including:

  • Try cooking something that’s not in your usual repertoire. A new pasta recipe, some tasty garlic bread and sides make for perfect night in dining.
  • Order something different to your usual takeaway. Services like Dishpatch send quality meals to your door – you just have to heat them!
  • Create a grazing board for two – load it with all of your favourites ready to pick at throughout the night. It’s really easy to make one yourself!

Set the mood the mood

And finally, a little mood setting could be just what you need to help you settle into your cosy night in. Start with some mood lighting – candles are great, or try some smart lighting to dim your lights as needed. Next, a little fragrance can go a long way! Choose the perfect diffuser and find a matching home spray to help your home smell incredible. Put your phones on do not disturb and get rid of any other distractions so you can focus on enjoying your evening.

A night in can have a lot of benefits. It can be cheaper, far more convenient and best of all, it gives you the chance to spend quality time with your loved ones. If you’re looking ahead to the weekend, consider a night in instead and make the most of your cosy home.
